Our September workshops are:

– THE BIG 3: SQUAT, BENCH PRESS, DEADLIFT

The Big 3: Squat, Bench Press, Deadlift Workshop is aimed at personal trainers, sport specific coaches, PE teachers, undergraduate students and anyone looking to gain an in depth understanding of strength training.

Participants will learn the correct techniques for the back squat, bench press and deadlift and will learn how these are best used in a strength training programme. They will experience and understand the reasons behind using progressions and regressions of the big lifts and will have the opportunity to practice their own technique in a practical setting.
– FLEXIBILITY AND MOVEMENT

The Flexibility And Mobility Workshop is aimed at personal trainers, sport specific coaches, PE teachers, undergraduate students and anyone looking to develop a greater understanding of movement competency.

Participants will learn the importance of observing and understanding an athlete’s movement competency, how to go about assessing areas of dysfunction and how to implement intervention strategies to improve performance.
– INJURY PREVENTION WARM UP

The Injury Prevention Warm Up Workshop is aimed at personal trainers, sport specific coaches, PE teachers, undergraduate students and anyone looking to develop knowledge in warm up protocols to prevent injuries.

Participants will gain an understanding of safe and correct warm up technique that can implement injury prevention and robustness modalities. They will experience and practice warm up protocols in different settings to prepare for different training scenarios.
– METABOLIC CONDITIONING IN THE GYM (NO CARDIO MACHINES)

The Metabolic Conditioning In The Gym (no cardio machines) Workshop is aimed at personal trainers, sport specific coaches, PE teachers, undergraduate students and anyone looking to improve performance using conditioning.

Participants will learn how to design and implement appropriate conditioning sessions to target different athletic characteristics using a variety of modalities. They will get the chance to practice various training methods and plan their own sessions so as to have a greater understanding of how conditioning can be used to improve performance.
